Alphabet Challenge – Duh-Nail Polish

Hi Everyone!!

My next letter and brand is Duh-Nail Polish. This brand is available on Storenvy and when I saw it I fell in love with it. The one I bought is My Cup Spilleth. It’s a gorgeous wine red shade. But more than that it is matte and has gold micro flakies.

This polish is amazing and has great wearability and the application is smooth. One of the best things is you can wear it matte or use a top coat and completely change the look of the polish.

Alphabet Challenge – Chaos and Crocodiles

Hi Everyone!!

For the letter C, I chose to try Chaos and Crocodiles. This was a brand I had wanted to try for a while but hadn’t yet so figured this was the perfect opportunity.

I purchased a couple of them but decided to use Reconnaissance. This is an amazing purple holographic.

Alphabet Challenge – Bellaluna Cosmetics

Hi Everyone!!

Welcome to the second week of my alphabet challenge. For the letter “B”, I chose Bellaluna Cosmetics. I actually stumbled on this brand when I purchased Aly’s Dream and I am so happy I did.

The first polish I purchased, Enchanted Woodlands, is an amazing shade of red with red and gold holographic glitters. I was so in love with this polish that when I saw another one I jumped at the opportunity to buy it.

The second polish I bought was Off to Neverland. This is part of the Dreams Come True Collection. This is a gorgeous blue based jelly. The polish has silver and gold flakes and glitter and according to the sellers website has “a touch of emerald dust”.

This polish was so amazing that I didn’t want to take it off. I used vinyl swirls and Orly’s Mirrorball as accent nails. The result looked like actual jewels on my nails. It was absolutely stunning!!

Before writing this post, I did contact the seller and inquired as to information on her company. According to Samantha, she started making polish because she was a polishaholic but she was looking to make polish that was unique from what was already out there. I have to say she did!

Alphabet Challenge – Aly’s Dream Polish

Aly’s Dream

Hi Everyone!!

Today is my first post using the polishes that I chose for my alphabet challenge. Today, I will be featuring Aly’s Dream Polish. Aly’s Dream Polish is an indie brand that is cruelty free and all of their polishes are 5 free.

The polish that I used was Tiffany’s Revenge. This polish is a gorgeous aqua blue holographic.

Not only is this polish gorgeous but the application is great as is the coverage and wearability. I have had no issues with chipping or shrinkage.

The only issue I have is that the brand seems to be on hiatus. From her Facebook page, it appears that she has had some medical issues that have caused her to temporarily close her site. But, what I can tell you, is that I will be searching through destashes for more of her polishes.

The Alphabet Challenge

Hi Everyone!!

A couple of months ago, a couple of friends and I decided to challenge ourselves. The challenge? Get a new polish from a brand that we have never tried before for each letter of the alphabet.

Some letters have been incredibly easy. The hardest decision was which brand and which color. But, some of the letters have been really hard. For some, I couldn’t find a brand that I hadn’t tried or no brand for that letter.

I am almost all the way through the alphabet and decided to issue a new challenge to myself. Starting with my next mani, I will be using the polishes I got in alphabetic order.

I hope you will join me on this journey. There are some great brands about to be featured and some amazing colors.

Parrot Polish Arco Iris

Hi Everyone!!

I’m so sorry that I have been M.I.A for so long. Coming to this site and seeing all the pictures of our little girl was so hard but now her pictures bring less tears and more joy. So, I am back and so excited to share this post with you!

Several months ago, I stumbled upon a new Indie company, Parrot Polish. I immediately fell in love with their polishes and ordered some. But, I haven’t used them since they arrived. Well, today, I used one of them and I am in love and complete awe!!

The polish I have for you today is called Arco Iris and  unfortunately the collection is no longer available but they have many more amazing polishes available at http://www.parrotpolish.com.

This is a linear holo that has an amazing shift to it. There are greens and purples in it and when the light hits it the rainbow is amazing!!

In addition to the amazing colors of this polish, the application was so smooth and I could have used just one coat, even though I used two.

I am so in love with this polish and this brand and can’t wait to try out the others I have.  Stay tuned for more!!

In Memory of….

Hi Everyone!!

As many of you know, a couple of weeks ago we lost our 17 year old cat. I decided as a way to honor her and our cat that we had to put to sleep 8 years ago that I would have custom nail polishes made.

I asked one of my friends who she would recommend and she recommended Daily Hues Nail Lacquer. I contacted the owner of the company and she agreed to work with me.

Today, I used the polish designed for my cat that we had to put to sleep 8 years ago.

I love what she designed for this polish and I can’t wait to show you the other polish she designed. Keep your eyes out for that one.

M.I.A

Hi Everyone!!

I wanted to apologize for being M.I.A the past couple of weeks.

Anyone who has followed this blog knows that one of the topics I write about is my cats. My cats are like children to me and are 100% members of my family. Unfortunately, on September 24, we had to put our 17 year old baby to sleep.

 

Overnight, she went from being a healthy and robust cat to extremely sick. The decision we had to make was extremely difficult but was the right decision to make.

Our precious little girl is no longer physically with us but will be in our hearts and minds forever!!

Maple Holistics Silk 18 Conditioner

Hi Everyone!!

Recently I received a bottle of Maple Holistics Silk 18 Conditioner for review purposes. Maple Holistics is a provider of holistic and therapeutic beauty products. Their website is http://www.mapleholistics.com.

This product is advertised as a product that “uses the finest blends of conditioning agents to maximize hair smoothness in a manner which doesn’t involve potentially harmful additives”. The conditioner includes silk amino acids, botanical keratin, argan, jojoba and vanilla.

I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now and I love it. It makes my hair feel great!! It, also, smells great! You can totally smell the vanilla in it.

This is a great product and I totally recommend it! So far, both products I have tried from this company have been great.
